What is Respite Care?

We understand how critical it is for a main caregiver to have a trustworthy individual look after their loved one while they take a well-deserved vacation. Our respite care is a short-term solution that allows family caregivers to take a break from providing full-time care for a loved one.

How our Respite Care works

Our care coordinator will pay you a visit and spend time with you and your loved one at home. This gives us the opportunity to get to know you and your loved one, as well as examine your everyday activities. We’ll work with you to create a personalised care plan. The care plan will detail how we will look after you and assist you. We aim to provide respite service that are consistent with your regular care and support plan.

We make sure that you and our care staff are in contact during our time with your loved one. This is done to keep you updated and reassure you that you are in good hands. We want you to feel at ease knowing that your loved one is in good hands.

How our Respite care is structured

We offer a wide range of flexible respite care services. Our visits can be once-off visits, or regular visits to give the primary caregiver a break from their caring duties. We can also provide our services when there is a crisis and care is required as soon as possible.

Respite care can be for an hour or two per week, or it could be for several weeks whilst the caregiver goes on a vacation.
